Winnett Food Forest is a new project in the Newhall and Whitneyville neighborhoods of Hamden, CT. We are working to grow annual vegetables while simultaneously installing the features of a food forest, with fruit trees, shrubs and edible perennial plants, in the hope that we can model the efficient use of small urban green space in a food and climate-uncertain future.
